The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP)

The TTCP is a Joint effort for collaboration on defense research and development activities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The TTCP was established in 1957 with a Memorandum of Understanding among participating nations to share information and collaborate on defense programs that are common to member nations. The TTCP currently oversees more than $500 million worth of joint defense related R&D that involves more than 6000 scientists and engineers at over 450 sites. These projects are managed by 11 Technology Groups and 85 Technical Panels.

The TTCP Joint Systems Analysis Technical Panel #2 (JSA TP2) focuses on Modeling and Simulation issues and programs that could benefit member nations. Seven working groups are currently engaged in analysis, research and development of M&S programs for the TTCP.

The DoD Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (DoD M&S CO) represents the US Department of Defense in TTCP activities related to Modeling and Simulation in the Technical Panel #2 (TTCP TP2).

Effective 1 June 2009, the US will assume chairmanship of the TTCP TP2 program.
